The Sacred Pause

The Practice That Doesn't Break You—It Births You

Hello sweet souls,

Today is 1 Kej—the start of a new Mayan Solar Year (the Mayan agricultural calendar) and one of the most powerful, strongest cycles in the Mayan Sacred Calendar.

This energy will be an undercurrent, a wave of strength, supporting us for the next 360 days.

Kej is the day of the deer, the energy of nature and its wild sovereignty. It holds the leadership required to transcend—to end any trance and see the truth. It marks authority over our own lives, leadership rooted in service, and the strength to carry what is ours to carry. As we step into this new solar year, we are being asked to rise—not just for ourselves, but for the emergence of the collective.

It’s time for us to see more so we can be more, so we may rise to the nature of these times.

And all of that begins with… your choice to enter the Sacred Pause.

In today’s free transmission, I share what the Sacred Pause is—and why it has become so essential to my being. (These are the types of transmissions offered in the Altar.)

The Sacred Pause is not just a practice I do. It is how I remember who I am. It is where I find my voice, my Soul, my wholeness again and again.

Through the Sacred Pause, I have learned to hear all the voices within me—the mind’s urgency, the body’s signals, the heart’s wildness, and beneath it all, the soul’s calm knowing.

I have learned to sit in the mystery between truth and illusion. To mother myself through heartbreak. To remember that I am the Earth herself—the hills and valleys, the water and soil, the wholeness just as it is.

Hear me when I say: The Sacred Pause doesn’t break you. It births you.

In this transmission, I walk you through the Sacred Pause in great detail and share how this practice has aligned me to all my gifts, all my truths, all my multidimensional wisdom. As well, I share how it can do that for you, too.

Because you are here to feel. You are here to remember how whole we are. You are here to experience aliveness and integrate it so you may see and be more.

And the Sacred Pause is where this becomes possible.

In fact, I think I’m alive today to invite you into the Sacred Pause through the Altar Membership—the space I created to hold the wisdom that rises from your Soul and from your multidimensional collaborations.

Before you listen to the full transmission—and all the show notes are down below—I lay two offerings on the altar between us—these are ways for you to connect to the Sacred Pause.

Offering No. 1:

Cacao Ritual on 10 Ajmak – on February 27, 2026

On 10 Ajmak, one of the most powerful days for forgiveness and reconciliation, we gather in community to forgive ourselves, forgive each other, and remember how whole we are.

Originally, I was going to host a small ceremony for a friend, but then I heard that this would be the day for all to harmonize your Soul with your humanness, to pause together in sacred space, and to mother yourself back to aliveness—which is so vital during these wild times.

Members of the Altar join all live gatherings for free. If you’re not an Altar member, register for the ritual here.

Offering No. 2:

Sacred Messages is Open Now

If being in community is not right for you at this time, if you want to receive wisdom or guidance from your ancestors directly, Sacred Messages is open now.

When you bring your three burning questions to the oracle altar, I don’t rush. I cultivate the space and energy expressly for your reading—through alignment, ritual, and silence with the Soul. I pull cards. I close my eyes. I listen to what wants to come through for you specifically—from your ancestors, from your multidimensional team. And I write it all down so you can return to it again and again as you move through your own threshold moments.

Your reading will arrive within one week. Claim your Sacred Messages.

Sacred Messages

However you do it, give yourself the Sacred Pause. Create the space. Enter the stillness. Listen closely. That’s where you’ll find yourself again—in the mystery, through the heartbreak, into wholeness.

Here are the show notes:

Transmission: The Sacred Pause

In this episode, “The Sacred Pause,” I explore how to find your own truth in a world of noise, chaos, and information overload. I share how a simple, intentional pause—15 to 30 minutes of stillness and listening—can become a sacred act of self-reverence, a place where your Soul holds you through grief, fear, and emergence. Drawing on years of personal practice, I introduce the three layers of the sacred pause—the mystery, the heartbreak, and the wholeness—and offer a gentle guided exercise to help you experience this space for yourself. This conversation is an invitation to remember your wholeness, harmonize your Soul and humanness, and root into your own living truth, even when the world feels like it’s falling apart.

Opening – Truth in a Time of Chaos

Start: [0:00:03]

  • I name the central question: How do you find truth when chaos is pulling you in every direction?

  • I speak about unprecedented information overload, social media as both blessing and curse, and the dominance of bias over fact.

  • I introduce the Sacred Pause as a still space—silent or loud—where you stop, get still, and listen.

  • I frame the Sacred Pause as an act of reverence, devotion, and holiness toward self in a manipulated, artificial, biased world.

Section 1 – Discovering the Sacred Pause

Start: [0:04:30]

  • I share my earlier years of deep self-study through:

    • Energy work (with teachers and self-practice)

    • Time in nature, listening to trees, grass, rocks

    • A long-term, dedicated yoga practice

    • Acupuncture and awareness of energy meridians

    • Breathwork

  • I describe entering “the zone” in these practices—where external inputs fade and only my inner world is present.

  • Over time, I realize I don’t need many practices to access this space:

    • The Sacred Pause can be as simple as 15–30 minutes in bed in the morning, awake and silent, just listening.

  • I name the Sacred Pause as “really all you need” to begin hearing yourself more fully.

Section 2 – Grief, Dark Nights, and Hearing My Soul

Start: [0:09:30]

  • I share a season of intense stacked grief and “many dark nights of the soul”:

    • The deaths of both of my parents, a year apart

    • The “death”/ending of my first business

    • Leaving a beloved long-term home

    • The dismantling of a 20-year relationship

  • I reflect on how these were both painful and purposeful, holding purpose in the pain.

  • I use the Sacred Pause to sit with grief and fear, asking myself:

    • Why am I in so much pain?

    • Why am I so sad and in so much grief?

  • I begin hearing an inner voice—first called the inner voice, later recognized as my Soul:

    • My Soul explains the natural progression of life and the illusion of comfort.

    • My sSul calls me “sweet one” and invites me to feel fear and grief as part of emergence.

  • I commit to daily Sacred Pauses (20–30 minutes, sometimes morning and evening) to be with my Soul, feel my feelings, and make choices from a place of having fully felt them.

Section 3 – The Sacred Pause as Birthing, Not Breaking

Start: [0:18:30]

  • I reframe the Sacred Pause: It does not break you; it births you.

  • In the Sacred Pause, you:

    • Retrieve lost parts of yourself.

    • Become generative, creative, and full.

    • Learn to mother yourself (or parent yourself) back to life and aliveness.

  • I describe moving from:

    • Fragmentation → Wholeness

    • Pain → Purpose

    • Illusion → Truth

    • Heartbreak → Aliveness

  • I use rich earth imagery:

    • You become as whole as the Earth—hills, valleys, waters, soil, nooks and crannies—all within you.

    • The Sacred Pause helps you remember that you are the whole world.

Section 4 – The Three Layers of the Sacred Pause

Start: [0:20:07]

Layer One: The Mystery (The Moon Card)

  • I associate this with the Moon card in tarot.

  • In the Sacred Pause, you sit in the space between illusion and truth.

  • You are invited to:

    • Sit with questions without forcing answers.

    • Allow the “moonlight” to reveal what needs to be seen, rather than seeking harsh, premature clarity.

  • The mystery holds your personal truth, not anyone else’s.

Layer Two: The Heartbreak (Three of Swords)

  • I associate this with the Three of Swords.

  • The Sacred Pause invites you to sit with heartbreak and pain, large or small.

  • You are not:

    • Bypassing, fixing prematurely, or pretending it doesn’t exist.

  • Pain is allowed to pierce and clear the heart, creating space for healing.

  • Even when you are crying on the bathroom floor, you are still whole.

  • To transcend pain is to end the trance that you are only your pain: The soul and human harmonize to help you remember you are more than what hurts.

Layer Three: The Wholeness (The Empress)

  • I associate this with the Empress card.

  • In this layer, you remember that you are the earth herself—abundant, generative, whole.

  • The Empress sits in a garden, at ease, having birthed worlds.

  • The Sacred Pause helps you become the mother of your own life, the creator of your own emergence.

  • You remember: the earth, its landscapes, waters, and soil are you.

Section 5 – Why We’re Here: Aliveness, Cycles, and Non-Linearity

Start: [0:30:00]

  • I reflect on the soul’s reason for coming into a body:

    • To feel

    • To remember wholeness

    • To experience and integrate aliveness, again and again

  • I challenge linear models of life:

    • Life is not purely linear; it is cyclical, spiralic.

    • Timelines can feel as if they are happening on top of each other.

  • I affirm that feeling pain is part of being human and part of remembering how whole you are.

  • Transcending pain—ending the trance that you are just your pain—is the work of the soul.

Section 6 – The Sacred Pause, My Multi-Dimensional Wisdom & The Altar

Start: [0:30:02]

  • I share what the Sacred Pause has done for me:

    • It has aligned me with my gifts and allowed more to “drop in.”

    • It has clarified my truths and my capacity to hold multiple truths at once.

    • It has opened a strong connection to my multi-dimensional self, soul, and ancestors.

  • I affirm that this isn’t just for me; these gifts are available to you through the Sacred Pause.

  • I name the Sacred Pause as the foundation for:

    • Finding your voice

    • Remembering your wholeness

    • Accessing your soul

    • Navigating ongoing chaos and complexity in the world

  • I introduce The Altar:

    • A membership space I built around the Sacred Pause.

    • A place to gather in community to pause, witness, listen, feel, receive, integrate, and understand what to do next.

  • I describe the two live monthly gatherings inside The Altar:

    1. Cacao Ritual – Journeying with and listening to the soul, a deliberate pause in the day.

    2. Collective Ancestral Reading – Coming into communion with your ancestors and multi-dimensional guidance.

  • These two touch-points help harmonize the soul and the human and remind you how supported and guided you truly are.

  • I share that I am now guided moment by moment, listening within and without, rather than planning decades ahead.

Section 7 – A Guided Sacred Pause Practice

Start: [0:35:30]

  • I offer a simple guided exercise so you can experience the Sacred Pause immediately:

    • Find a comfortable position (sitting, lying down, or safely pulled over if driving).

    • Close your eyes or soften your gaze.

    • Take 10 deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth, letting the exhale be long and spacious—the “Sacred Exhale.”

  • I suggest reflection questions to ask your “sweet soul”:

    • What do I need to know right now?

    • What do I need to hear or see right now?

    • What do I need to feel right now?

  • I invite you to:

    • Allow whatever arises—tears, rage, sensations, images—to surface without brushing away or sequestering.

    • Trust what comes as multi-dimensional wisdom, even if the linear mind doesn’t fully understand.

Closing – Invitation into the Mystery, Through Heartbreak, Into Wholeness

Start: [0:36:39]

  • I reaffirm that we need to hear more, see more, feel more so we can be more and rise to the nature of these times.

  • I name this simple practice as:

    • How you begin to hear your inner voice, your multi-dimensional self, your sweet Soul.

    • How you remember that you belong to yourself and to one another.

  • I restate the Sacred Pause as:

    • Not optional but essential—how we remember who we are and stay rooted in our truth while the world appears to be “falling apart” (or, as I prefer, reorganizing).

  • I close with gratitude and a promise to return: I’ll be back again very, very soon with more.

If you wish to receive transmissions like this each month, I invite you to join the Altar.

I’ll be back again very, very soon.

Sending love,

Maggie
