Hello sweet members of The Altar,
Today is 4 Kej—the energy of the deer, of the four directions that hold the earth steady, of strength that leads by serving. Kej is sacred sovereignty: standing rooted in your own authority, balanced between the pillars. And 4 is the number of foundation—the stable ground from which a new month can rise.

July is almost here, and with it the details for our live gatherings and monthly theme.
This month feels a little different. The ancestors have asked us to witness our shifts in real time, together—so our two Kame circles will be less an inward journey and more a sitting in circle, speaking aloud what is moving and letting it be seen. If that feels tender, know you are never asked to share more than you wish. The ancestors will open both circles themselves, and I don't know if they will gather us this way again—so I invite you to come to both ends of this journey, and take it fully.
In July, I’ll share stories and transmissions on your Soul’s work—not the job, the career, or the title, but the calling implanted deep within you, the thing you were given to offer the world.
We’ll begin where it is most tender: with the understanding that your Soul’s work so often lives on the other side of your pain—that the very place you were wounded is the place you are most able to serve from. From there, we’ll soften the grip of the grand, capital-P version of purpose and remember that it is already in you, alive in the small moments as much as the vast ones. And we’ll close with a living practice—two questions you may return to again and again as your calling reveals itself, season by season.
