Hello sweet souls,
I’m sending this on 13 K’at—as Kan instructed me to share this a day in advance.
On Thursday, we begin the trecena of 1 Kan—and if you have been wondering where your aliveness has gone, this is the energy that will return it to you.
Kan is the serpent. Not the serpent of fear—the serpent of life force and wisdom itself. The coiled energy that knows, without being told, how to rise. Kan is the body’s intelligence and the wisdom that emerges through the body. The pulse beneath thought. The thing in you that moves before your mind catches up.
This is what Kan teaches: you already know. Not in your head—in your body. In the quickening you feel when something is right. In the contraction when something is not. The serpent does not deliberate. It feels its way forward, responsive to everything, rooted in the earth, moving with precision.
1 is the number of pure beginning. The seed before it breaks open. So 1 Kan is the life force at its most potent—coiled, charged, full of what has not yet moved. These 13 days are an invitation to ask: Where is my aliveness trying to rise? And what am I holding so tightly that it cannot?
The question Kan asks your Soul is simple: What do you know in your body that you have not yet allowed yourself to act on?
Kan’s color is red. The red of blood, of roses, of the earth in certain light. Red is not a gentle color. It does not ask you to be comfortable. It asks you to be alive.
This trecena runs from Thursday, May 7 through Tuesday, May 19.
For members of the Altar:
I will see you all in Thursday’s Cacao Ritual and Kundalini Sound Journey at 11:00am MT on Zoom. The sound journey has been moving through me and creating so much aliveness! If you’re not a member and wish to join us, Join the Altar. We have two additional events this month—details here.
Images and a full description of this altar are below—along with guidance for designing your own altar based on what’s unfolding in your life.
If you’d like to share what Kan is stirring in you, please add it to the comments. I’d love to hear it.
Sending aliveness to your body and your life,
Maggie
