Hello sweet souls,
Today is 13 K’at—the net cast wide, gathering all threads into one, the last day of the trecena of E’, the energy of the life’s path, the journey, the road.
And today I am sharing something a little different with you: a story about why I use the Mayan Sacred Calendar as a guidance tool—why it lives at the center of everything I offer here; why it underlies every post, every transmission, every gathering; and why I begin almost every story by naming the day.
I heard the call to explain it to all of you as we begin May, a month dedicated to Your Soul is the Authority, Building Unshakeable Self-Trust.
This transmission is open to everyone—so if someone in your life is hearing a call from the soul or moving through a dark night, please pass it along. It is a potential doorway.
And if you feel called to move some of this energy—we are gathering inside The Altar to work with the trecena of Kan, the serpent, the life force, your source of aliveness. On Thursday, May 7th, join us for a Cacao Ritual and Kundalini Activation Transmission—which is a sound journey to allow the life force that wishes to move through you to move, and to reveal what you need to know. You are welcome to join us by becoming a member of The Altar.
Lastly, if you are in Santa Fe or will be passing through—I am also hosting a Sacred Cacao Circle in my private studio on Saturday, May 16th. Over two sacred hours together, we will sip Ceremonial Cacao prepared and served with intention; journey through a guided Soul meditation and visualization; and ground together with fresh fruit, filtered water, and connection. Space is limited to 10 participants—and 5 spots remain. Join the Sacred Cacao Circle.
Now—press play. I’ll meet you there.
Sending love,
Maggie
Transmission: How the Sacred Calendar Guides the Soul
Opening: This Morning
Start: 0:00:00
A window. A cup of Cacao. The mountains outside Santa Fe before the sun crests them. This is what sacred time looks like in practice — and this is where we begin.
Section 1: How the Calendar Found Me
Start: 0:03:21
December 7, 2022. A surge of energy on Instagram. A psychic session. A small older Honduran woman who walked forward with a gift. A Mayan teacher who said: I am rarely surprised anymore. The story of how the calendar arrived—and why it arrived exactly when it did.
Section 2: What the Calendar Is
Start: 0:10:32
Twenty nawales. Thirteen sacred tones. Two hundred and sixty days. A DNA strand. And the moment in a fire ceremony when an energy spoke so clearly through me that I have offered its words in every ceremony since.
Section 3: The Loosening
Start: 0:15:02
What happened when the Gregorian calendar stopped making sense. The sentence that arrived one morning—I want every day to feel like Saturday—and the years of movement, of sunrise and sunset, of desert grasses and mountain light, that followed.
Section 4: Becoming a Sacred Bridge
Start: 0:18:23
A priestess circle. A young woman who saw me before I fully saw myself. And the Mayan cosmology that helped me finally stand in what she named—the seven directions, the heart of the earth, the heart of the sky, and the midpoint that connects them.
Section 5: Guatemala and the Fire
Start: 0:21:48
Last year. A private room. Día de los Muertos. A Tijax day. An ancestor with a message. And a teacher standing before the fire—becoming, in those moments, something else entirely.
Section 6: Why I Share It With You
Start: 0:25:38
Not because you need to study it. Because the soul cannot be measured by the Gregorian calendar. And because there is a way of moving through time that can actually hold who you are.
Closing Exercise: Feel Into Your Own Sacred Time
Start: 0:28:12
A guided invitation to drop into your body and feel into your ideal day—first thing in the morning, mid-morning, midday, mid-afternoon, evening. Then to sit with what you are moving through right now. And finally to feel into what the trecena of Kan is energizing within you as it begins tomorrow.
An Invitation: Join Us
Start: 0:35:05
If you want to move some of that energy together—The Altar is gathering on Thursday, May 7th for a Cacao Ritual and Kundalini Activation Transmission. Please post all your questions on the Mayan Sacred Calendar in the comments.
