Hello sweet souls,
Today, we begin the trecena of 1 Ajpu — and there is something luminous about this opening.
Ajpu is the solar warrior. The hunter. The hero. The one who walks between worlds with clarity, purpose, and an unshakeable connection to the light. Ajpu does not force. Ajpu does not grasp. Ajpu sees clearly — and moves with the confidence of one who knows who they are and why they are here.
This 13-day cycle runs from Monday, March 3 through Saturday, March 15.
And what Ajpu is really pointing us toward — over these 13 days and always — is wholeness. Not perfection. Not arrival at some distant destination. But the deep, integrated, cosmic wholeness that is your birthright. The hero’s journey in the Ajpu trecena is not about conquering the world. It is about becoming it — fully, completely, without apology. The image I hold for this energy is the hero who has walked the full journey and arrived not at a destination, but at wholeness — held by everything she has lived and learned, complete.
This is the journey we are walking together right now.
As part of my own journey into full expression, you’ll notice that this Substack now carries my full name — Maggie Battista — because I am ready to put my whole self, my full name and likeness, behind these stories, these transmissions, and this work.
For members of the Altar, full and up close images of this altar are down below. I will see you this morning for our Cacao Ritual at 11:00am MT. If you’d like to join us, I invite you to subscribe.
Relationships Are Reflections
This trecena also opens into March’s deeper medicine in the Altar: Relationships Are Reflections. Over these weeks, we are being invited to see the people in our lives not just as people — but as mirrors. Every relationship you carry is reflecting something back to you about yourself. Your community is your teacher. Your collaborators are your guides. The ones who light you up and the ones who challenge you — all of them, showing you a face of yourself you are ready to know.
The hero does not become whole in isolation. She becomes whole in relationship — in the honest, sometimes tender, sometimes revelatory act of truly seeing and being seen by another on this journey of life.
This is the medicine of 1 Ajpu. This is what these 13 days are asking of us.
For Altar members, I invite you to share a picture of your own altar in the chat for paid subscribers. Please leave questions on posts or in the chat; I’ll reply to all questions in an audio round-up.
If you’d like to join the Altar to receive this month’s three upcoming transmissions on how Relationships Are Reflections and participate in our live gatherings, you are so welcome.
